2025 WINTER CONCERT
BRAHMS SYmphony No. 1 – 2pm SUNDAY 27th July 2025
AT: James Tatoulis Auditorium, Methodist ladies’ College, 207 Barkers Road, Kew, Vic.
The Australasian Orchestra’s (AO’s) next wonderful 2025 concert will be on Sunday 27th July and will be comprised of Johannes Brahms‘s superb Symphony No. 1, Gioachino Rossini‘s beloved William Tell Overture, Australian composer Misha Machlak‘s beatiful work entitled FG (Fog), and Cécile Chaminade‘s picturesque Concertino for flute & orchestra, with Sophie Weston as the flute soloist.
The concert will be conducted by the orchestra’s Chief Conductor and Artistic Director Robert Dora.
This is a concert not to be missed! Online bookings are recommended, however tickets can also be purchased at the door from 1.15pm on the day.
– The event has unallocated seating. The auditorium’s doors open at 1.30pm.

2025 Summer CONCERT
SHOSTAKOVICH SYmphony No. 5 – 2pm SUNDAY 2nd March 2025
AT: James Tatoulis Auditorium, Methodist ladies’ College, 207 Barkers Road, Kew, Vic.
The Australasian Orchestra (AO) commenced 2025 with a wonderful performance of Dmitri Shostakovich‘s exciting (& his most famous work) Symphony No. 5! The concert opened with Felix Mendelssohn‘s perfect Hebrides Overture, Australian composer George Dreyfus‘s picturesque Rush (with the composer himself kindly in attendance), followed by Max Bruch‘s timeless Kol Nidrei with a truly superb performance by Minh-Quan Nguyen as the work’s cello soloist.
